Inspiration

October 19, 2008

Most of my beading inspiration comes from nature. I’ve used photos from trips, and especially photos from my yard. My mom has a green thumb, and every year she produces beautiful flowers. Even as late as this month there are still some left blooming:

Sometimes it’s the color that spurs me, sometimes the shape. My trip to Sedona AZ inspired my mini wall hanging, and a cuff.  It’s the one advantage I have as an artist–there is inspiration literally at my front door.

As for jury duty, it’s not over yet. I’m dying to comment on what’s going on, but still can’t. It’s frustrating.

I came across your blog after I posted a bit about inspiration for jewelry design on mine–but would love to see your finished pieces from things that inspire you!!
